Ginkgo House Architecture

Formerly the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, this art and community space is another example of Detroit’s adaptive creativity and budding renaissance.

I bought a book about this house when I was a nascent architect and drooled over its nature inspired design. I finally got to see it - attic to basement! ✔️ Its joinery details, furniture, and overall aesthetic are exquisite. Greene and Green Architects, 1908. Winter home for the Gamble (of Proctor & Gamble) family.
