BACK TO SCHOOL VACCINE DAYS!
Fridays in July! Starting July 10.

Summer is the best time to ensure your child is up to date on required and recommended school vaccines. We are doing special back to school vaccine days on Fridays in July to help you be prepared. Please note: July 3 will be a holiday (July 4th observed).

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Please give the health department a call at 706-752-1266 with questions or to make an appointment.

To protect your health when temperatures are high, remember to stay cool, stay hydrated and stay informed.
STAY COOL: Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. Stay in an air-conditioned place.
STAY HYDRATED: Drink plenty of water even before you are thirsty. Don’t wait until you are already thirsty. Avoid sugary or alcoholic beverages which can cause you to lose even more body fluid.
STAY INFORMED: Prepare for extreme heat ahead of time by keeping an eye on local weather forecasts.
Check on each other at least twice a day while working in extreme heat. Heat-related illness can cause confusion or loss of consciousness.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE: Friday, July 3

All Northeast Health District Health Departments and offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.
