PATCH Program

Surprise! While we've shared that PATCH Denver Health Pediatrics at Denver Public Schools will be attending and presenting at School-Based Health Alliance's 2026 National School-Based Health Care Conference with some of their teens, we recently added one more traveler to the mix...
Their PATCH Coach, Erica, from PATCH HQ!
The team invited us to be part of the experience, so we figured out a way to make it happen. 🎉
Excited to support behind the scenes, celebrate their hard work, and be another PATCH adult in their corner.
There’s truly just so much that goes into making sure teens have a solid experience in spaces like this.
Erica met the teens virtually last night and they were WONDERFUL!
DC, PATCH is coming for you...NEXT week!
This work matters, and this moment matters. Join us June 23–25 in Washington, D.C., for the 2026 National School-Based Health Care Conference to learn, collaborate, and strengthen support for children and families nationwide. Online Registration ends June 19 🔥bit.ly/SBHC2026

PATCH HQ adults now have work cell phones 🥳
We love working with teens (obviously). And being trusted, caring adults in their lives means showing up while also being clear on boundaries.
But you know what. Things got messy (on our end).
And maybe this one's on us, since we resorted to our personal phones. They're just *so* much more convenient.
We ended up with family pictures next to PATCH team pictures, school notifications next to PATCH chats. so. many. notifications.
Our phone storage, organization, and brains(!) couldn't keep up.
We needed separation.
So here we are, entering a new program year with new (mobile) work phones!
And while our pockets are heavier and clunkier, our minds already feel so much more at ease.
Especially since PATCH teen interviews, job offers and training are just around the corner!

Pretty cool that orgs like Children's Rights can reach out to our WI PATCH teens to get their take on what's happening here in WI.
Children's Rights brings the research.
Teens bring the reality.
PATCH brings them together.
That’s the work. 🫶

Need a part-time gig for the 2026–27 school year?
PATCH is now hiring WI teens (ages 14–19) who represent different identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
In-person and virtual positions.
About 4–10 hours/month.
You’ll attend team meetings, learn, and have honest conversations about important health topics while sharing your ideas and lived experiences as a teen.
Yeah, PATCH is a job. You get paid. You’re expected to show up and be accountable.
But it often becomes so much more than that.
Self-discovery, belonging, and connection.
Applications for 2026-27 are due June 14, 2026! 🔗 in bio.
