An estimated 10k marched in Madison’s third No Kings! protest, joining millions nationwide opposing the Trump administration. People rallied at Brittingham Park before marching to the Capitol, where speakers, including Paul Smith, Sinceree Dixon, Ajak Johnson, and The Honorable Reverend Everett Mitchell, called for sustained action beyond single-day protests. While the permitted march ran smoothly, the true test will be whether participants answer the call for disruptive, sustained action rather than performative protest—echoing John Pavlovitz’s demand to “wield our collective power.”

Over 500 students braved single-digit temperatures to rally in Library Mall at UW-Madison, demanding a sanctuary campus and ICE out of the Midwest. Madison Students for a Democratic Society organized the event to voice concerns about ICE and Border Patrol agents coming to campus and called on the administration to keep agents off campus. Speakers from SDS, Voces, YDSA, and Wisconsin Bail Out the People Movement urged organization and solidarity. Bobby Gronert from YDSA captured the message: “If you want a savior, look to your left and right. Only we can save ourselves.”
