🎤 Calling all storytellers and story lovers!

Our Area 12 Director has organized a special outing for area clubs to attend The Moth StorySLAM in Birmingham on June 22.

If you’ve never experienced The Moth, here’s how it works: audience members have the opportunity to put their names in a hat for a chance to tell a true, personal story based on the evening’s theme. Ten names are drawn at random, and each storyteller has five minutes to captivate the audience. No notes. No props. Just a great story.

Whether you’re interested in sharing a story of your own or simply enjoying an evening of powerful storytelling, this is a fantastic opportunity to see communication at its most authentic.

🎟️ Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

🚗 Interested in carpooling? Contact Antwoin or Lillian for details.

Who’s ready for a night of unforgettable stories?

Last night’s meeting was a testament to just how much our members have grown.

With a full lineup of prepared speakers and evaluators, Redstone was firing on all cylinders. Our speakers delivered engaging, polished presentations, and the evaluations were equally strong—thoughtful, insightful, and packed with value.

In fact, voting for Best Speaker and Best Evaluator may have been the toughest part of the night. The competition was that close.

We’re also excited to see new faces continuing to find their way to Redstone. Every guest, every speech, and every role helps make our club stronger.

A special congratulations to Elena for completing Level 3 of her pathway and earning the coveted Triple Crown award! 👏

🏆 Best Speaker: Dr. Kidd
🏆 Best Table Topics: Joseph
🏆 Best Evaluator: Roquita

Join us next Tuesday as we elect our next slate of club officers. Whether you’re attending in person or online, your vote matters as we help shape the future of Redstone Toastmasters.

🍔Tuesday’s meeting was easily the punniest one of the month.

Our Toastmaster of the Evening set the tone early with reminder emails stuffed full of hamburger puns in honor of National Hamburger Month, and the fun only continued from there.

Etta and Elena delivered prepared speeches with plenty to chew on, while Lillian switched things up with TWO impromptu speeches based on surprise topics chosen by our ToE. In one speech, she was tasked with giving a eulogy… and chose none other than our beloved Landon. Thankfully, he made a miraculous return later in the meeting to earn Best Evaluator honors. 👼😂

Our Table Topics segment was stacked higher than a double cheeseburger, with brave guests and seasoned members alike stepping up to the lectern. Special shoutout to Braylin, a fearless second-time guest, who took home Best Table Topics after sharing a hilarious story about getting lost in the Gulf of Mexico on jet skis. 🌊

🏆 Best Speaker: Elena
🏆 Best Evaluator: Landon
🏆 Best Table Topics: Braylin

We also wrapped up our Bingo game — congratulations to our winners! 🎉
🥇 1st Place: Tami
🥈 2nd Place: Shantele
🥉 3rd Place: Elena
