24 years ago today as the horror of the terrorist attacks unfolded live before our eyes on television, my grandmother declared, “This is your generation’s Pearl Harbor.” The brevity of that statement continues to ring true as we remember, reflect, honor, and mourn all those who were lost to the atrocious events that unfolded that day.

Our nation continues to mourn senseless acts of violence, as was observed most recently yesterday with the shooting death of Charlie Kirk. In times like this, I am reminded of John 16:33 ~ In this world you will face tribulation, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world. Prayers for the Kirk family on this day of loss and mourning.

Be kind, neighbors. Be helpful. Be sincere. Love one another. You never know when your time on this earth will end.

I am so conflicted about sharing this post. On one hand, I want to be a supportive friend and help the Lignelli Family move on to their next phase of life, but from a selfish perspective, I don’t want them to leave! 😭
