Some designs mean a little more than others, and this one will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

The 2026 on his back isn’t just a number—it’s a reminder of a year full of firsts. This is my son’s first year showing Herefords, and it’s also my first year as a vendor at the National Junior Hereford Association.

The sweet little heifer in this design is Courtney, the girl who’s been by his side through all the learning, early mornings, and excitement leading up to this week.

Then, just one week before we were supposed to leave for Wisconsin, he broke his arm. For a moment, we weren’t sure what this week would look like. But instead of giving up, we figured it out, adapted, and made it work. That determination is something I’ll never forget.

This design represents so much more than a show calf. It represents friends that have turned into family, resilience, hard work, and making memories—even when things don’t go according to plan.

Here’s to Courtney, to first show seasons, to overcoming unexpected obstacles, and to the beginning of what I hope will be many years of Hereford memories.
