Salah Sarsour should be freed immediately. Speaking up for Palestine is not illegal. Being Palestinian is not illegal. Having been abused by the illegal and unrecognized military court of a settler colonial state perpetuating a genocide is not illegal. We must gather around those targeted by this regime.

Just moments ago, hundreds of community members showed up to the Islamic Society of Milwaukee to demand the federal government free Salah Sarsour — the President of ISM who was detained by ICE agents at gunpoint on Monday.

Sarsour is clearly beloved by those close to him and to the many communities he’s helped in his over thirty years living in Milwaukee. He is a political prisoner, targeted for his clear calls for a free Palestine. We are grateful for everyone working to free him and will stand with them in that work.
