I surprised my sister by entering into the Mary’s Challenge. I made 3 fidget blankets and mailed them across the pond to Home Instead-Southampton.
This challenge was named for my Mum… as for the last several years she has been knitting and then my sister finishing them into fidget blankets - and then they donate them to Home Instead.
All the blankets entered are on show today and then will be paired and gifted with their clients with dementia.
These are great fun to make - lots of things on the blankets to keep the hands busy, zips, Velcro, pockets, a small toy, beads to move etc.

Had the pleasure of testing this fun mini quilt, was exciting to learn a new technique… that wonderful curve. They are not so scary now, fabulous directions and video by Kate to help one with the curves. One can make this seasonal and change out a small wall hanging or make it into cushions or a small table runner! Pattern now available, head over to her website to pick it up .

Another amazing pattern created by Carolyn at Comfy Quilts and Designs called Finding Peace. Soon to be available.
This one, like all of her patterns is worth buying. Instructions are great, it comes together fast… and so many fabrics lend themselves to this pattern… my fabric choice came from the “She Sews III” line. I already have my next fabrics picked to make it again.
I am blessed that I was able to test this pattern for this great designer.
