Mrs. Gower's Artist, painted a large mural for the TechEd classroom. It turned out great. A special thank you to Paige and Hailey for all of their hardwork!

Our newest addition to the Tech Lab. This is a 1:7.5 scale model of the James Webb Space Telescope primary and secondary mirrors. I hope this will help inspire some of my students to reach for the stars.

Some big changes are coming to the Tech Lab. We've installed the floor of what will be a regulation First Tech Challenge field. Next years computer science class will build and program robots using java. Our robotics clubs will use it to practice for their competitions.

As we move towards the end of our school year there are many things that seem out of place. What tugs at my heart the most is missing the opportunity to say goodbye to the 8th grade students, some of whom I have had for three years, so...

To my students:

Our experiences during this time will always give us a unique perspective. In time it will help us understand the frailty of life. This is not something we, your teachers, could have ever taught in a classroom, no one could. You have learned how to be. How to be with family, how to be when it is quiet, how to be when our normal way of living has been silenced. How to be you.

At times this can be terrifying, but when we learn who we are, we learn to be strong. We learn how to tackle the challenge in front of us. We learn what it takes to face adversity and use it to our advantage. We learn that all of the distractions at our fingertips are just that, distraction, and they will keep us from becoming who we are meant to be.

You are about to embark on a new adventure. Your path in life has not yet been determined. This is the time that you get to choose your future before it gets chosen for you. In time we will be able to wake up and breathe. We will greet each other knowing that this shared experience is something that will empower us to make a difference in our world.

Be good, work diligently, follow your passion.
