To the general public this probably doesn’t mean much if you are dealing with a person doing your legal paperwork- but it’s actually very
Important.
Why you ask?
Well because in order for a person to do your legal paperwork if you are representing yourself in court, we have to be licensed, bonded by a surety company as well as have the legal training and education to perform such services.
Unfortunately many people may not know that but it’s the law under the Business and Professions Code.
When I meet with a client I have to show them my badge as well as stamp all my paperwork submitted to the Court to confirm I am legally authorized to perform such work.
I get it - people want legal paperwork done for a low price especially nowadays with such a tight economy as well as people who simply cannot afford an attorney but your case is important especially if you are dealing with statutes, deadlines etc. you want to hire someone that knows this information because it is vital to your case.
Tax preparers do taxes
Notaries - notarize docs
Legal document assistants - do legal paperwork
So please consumers make sure when you are representing yourself and need legal assistance please make sure you seek assistance from someone authorized to do so.
As for myself and other local LDA’s we spend a lot of time, money and additional continuing ed to keep us apprised in law and it’s not fair for our business to be monopolized by people performing such legal services not authorized to do so.
For a list of current LDA’s please check the Madera County Recorder’s Website for a list of LDA’s.

From the desk of Lupe Garcia-Delgado, owner Executive Legal Services
Happy New Year 🎆 and blessings for the the new year as well as continued health to all my clients/friends/family.
2020 was a busy year for me as I was able to still assist clients with their legal needs despite the temporary court closures. Some of the courts have opened up to the public for court filings as well as the Courts for hearings. (Fresno/Madera/Merced)
Thank you for your continued business and I appreciate your confidence in me with all your legal needs.
I have been in business since 2004 (time flies) and I look forward to continue to provide legal services for individuals who may not otherwise have the funds to retain an attorney. My primary field of expertise is Family Law.
I am currently taking new clients and as a precautionary measure due to Covid, I meet with clients once per week. I offer a free one hour consultation at which time I quote you my fee for your specific legal needs.
Looking forward to 2021 and assisting you. You can also view my website on the link above.

Fun Facts Friday:
December 2003 - quit my job with a prestigious Family Law firm in Fresno - as a single parent with no savings and not knowing how I was going to pay for Christmas or January rent

Still kept the fire 🔥 in my belly to succeed

My dad died - October 2017
Discovered my Mom’s cancer came back on October 31, 2017
I still kept grinding
My business was small yet successful after 13 years
Through all this I served as a member of La Raza Lawyers, Latinas Unidas, Sierra Charter School Board Member, chaired local 5k races to raise money for various causes - breast cancer, food bank etc.
March 2018 - mom lost her battle to cancer
March 2018 - Bought my first home 🏡
Still kept grinding
July 2018 - my oldest sister passed away after a lengthy illness
Still grinding and still struggling trying to figure out why I was being tossed all these hardships
October 2019 - became a grandmother 👵 for the first time
2020 - Finally feeling peace and proud of my small business
The moral of my story - never give up, keep grinding, keep a tight circle of very supportive friends, you build a tougher skin when you are self employed, not everyone is going to like you - and that’s perfectly ok, not everyone will understand “your grind,” stay humble, stay hungry, give back. Success is not always about money - it’s about survival!!!
