"AF1 Straw Hat 2022's" - Was commissioned to create a custom, unique pair of Air Force 1's based around the anime , but more specifically around the characters and . So, with that request in hand & very little knowledge of the subject matter, I got to work. I knew the client liked the look of the characters from the Wano Country Arc, so I drew my inspiration from there. The characters' kimonos supplied the pattern for each respective shoe. The nike checks were removed to provide greater flat surface area to illustrate smoothly across. The toe box is adorned with the corresponding for each character as well as their significant, identifying scars. The inside mid-panel displays an illustration of the character in a relaxed view, while the outside mid-panel shows the character going into fight mode. The shoelace color was dictated by the color of the obi (sash) on each kimono, and then laced in such a way that the shoe resembles the kimono itself. I took it a step further & went the extra mile to completely customize the box to further make this a one of a kind Collector's piece.
