First Presbyterian Church Macon

First Presbyterian Church, as part of our 200th anniversary, is pleased to have Dr. John Piper to preach at both the 9 am and 11:15 am worship services on July 19.

Dr. John Piper is chancellor of Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He taught biblical studies at Bethel University for six years (1974–1980), before serving as pastor for preaching and vision of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis for 33 years (1980–2013).  

He is the founder and senior teacher of Desiring God (desiringgod.org), named for his book Desiring God: Meditations of a Christian Hedonist (1986), and has written a number of award-winning books, including Future Grace, Spectacular Sins, What Jesus Demands from the World,  Pierced by the Word, God’s Passion for His Glory, Don’t Waste Your Life, The Passion of Jesus Christ, and Providence.  His ministry is extensively active online, particularly with his podcast Ask Pastor John in which he answers submitted questions. It has over 2,000 episodes.

Today we learned all about God’s faithful love for us! More worship, more games, more crafts, and more fun! Can’t believe tomorrow is the last day!

VBS Day 2 🤩✔️

What an amazing day exploring the truth that God is our refuge! No matter what comes our way, we can run to Him because He is our safe place, our strength, and our ever-present help.

From singing and dancing to Bible lessons, games, crafts, and plenty of rainforest adventures, today was filled with joy as we learned to trust in God’s faithful care. 💚

We can’t wait to see what God has in store for Day 3! ✨
