This entire week, Captain Heather Johnson, Chief John Keith Eisele and PIO Rebecca Husted will represent the City of Gray Fire Department at the 50th Annual Georgia Fire Safety Symposium learning about many different things that affect safety, prevention, risk reduction and preparation this week.

Vet techs will resonate with this - an informal survey of veterinarians has suggested that around 35% of injuries that show up at their equine clinic are TRAILER RELATED - foot thru something, over the chest bars, raised their head and bonked it, fell in the trailer, etc. Some of this is because of poor manufacturing practices (even in "nice" horse trailers.)
A reporter actually followed up about the dangers with cheaply manufactured horse trailers - PLEASE share with your colleagues so that this article in a tiny little town in Texas might get noticed by more vets, techs, horse people, manufacturers and regulators.
