Have you ever wanted to see Earth the way only about 600 humans ever have?

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE can help you do that, and it is now open at Pullman Yards in Atlanta. This Emmy Award-winning, immersive VR experience inspired by NASA missions takes you aboard the International Space Station for a roughly 55-minute journey. You’ll explore 360-degree cinematic footage filmed inside and outside the ISS, walk alongside real astronauts, witness breathtaking views of Earth, and experience a simulated spacewalk.

I walked away from the experience feeling inspired and having a greater appreciation for the amazing things humans can do if we work together without letting our differing beliefs cause us to fight and argue endlessly.

THE INFINITE is only in Atlanta through August 2026. Tickets start at +$24+ for children (ages 8+) and $34+ for adults.

MACON ENTERTAINMENT: Downtown Macon has a new entertainment option since Flight Time at Bearfoot opened over the gastro-pub Bearfoot Tavern in March of this year.

Flight Time at Bearfoot features realistic simulators where visitors can race against friends on motion platforms with force feedback, practice flying in more than 20 different aircraft, and play golf on over 200 courses. Patrons can also play darts.

A full-service bar serves craft cocktails and other beverages, and you can even get food from Bearfoot Tavern delivered to you there.

You can book simulators by the hour or purchase a monthly membership. Flight Time at Bearfoot is designed for group hangouts, client entertainment, birthday parties, and tournaments.

The decor and design at Flight Time at Bearfoot are upscale and give the unique entertainment experience a feeling of exclusivity, although the business is open to the public.

The Social Duck is located right next to Bearfoot Tavern downstairs, so patrons can walk downstairs from Flight Time at Bearfoot to play vintage duckpin bowling if flying or racing is too intense.

During my recent visit to Flight Time at Bearfoot, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience as enjoyable as possible, and earned a fan in the process!

Georgia’s cattle industry contributes over $2 billion to the state’s economy. And while more than one million cattle called Georgia home in 2024, cows, bulls, and oxen aren’t the only animals found on Middle Georgia’s farms. Some farmers here raise ostriches — the largest and heaviest living birds on Earth, capable of running over 40 miles per hour.

These remarkable flightless birds have been farmed worldwide for thousands of years for their eggs, feathers, skin (used for leather), and meat. Ostriches are omnivores that feed primarily on plants — leafy greens, roots, grasses, fruits, and succulents — but will also eat lizards, frogs, mice, and insects. Because they have no teeth, ostriches swallow sand and pebbles to help grind food in their stomachs.

So the next time you think of Georgia farming, don’t just picture rolling pastures full of cattle — picture something a little more unexpected. Right here in Middle Georgia, these ancient, extraordinary birds are thriving, adding yet another fascinating chapter to our state’s rich agricultural story.
