Jesus never called His followers to pretend wounds never happened. In fact, after His resurrection, He still carried the scars in His hands. The scars remained, but they no longer had power over Him. That is a picture of what forgiveness looks like. The memory may remain, but the bitterness no longer gets to rule your heart.πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Romans 12 reminds believers to leave justice in God's hands because He is a far better Judge than anyone else. Forgiveness is the decision to stop carrying a weight that was never yours to hold. Wisdom still sets healthy boundaries, healing still takes time, and trust is built through faithfulness, but none of that changes the call to release the offense before it becomes a prison for your own heart.

The cross is proof that grace and truth always walk together. Jesus offers both, and He calls His people to do the same.πŸ’™

πŸ“– "Then Peter came up and said to him, β€œLord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, β€œI do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times." - Matthew 18:21-22
