We originally planned to open at 2:00 PM, but we’ve had a few unexpected issues with our ice cream machine. It’s being worked on now, so we’ll need to push today’s opening to 3:00 PM.

If we’re able to get everything up and running sooner, we’ll let y’all know right away!

Many of you have been wondering where I’ve been these past few weeks and why Swamp Bucket has been closed.

It’s been an incredibly difficult time for our family. First, we were dealing with the flooding of our home in Biloxi from Cyclone Arthur. Then my dad suffered a life-threatening aneurysm and is still fighting through his recovery. On top of that, my daughter-in-law had to deliver my new grandson three weeks early yesterday—my son’s first child. ❤️

Between traveling to Biloxi for flood cleanup, Louisiana to be with my dad, and Dallas for the birth of my grandson (who is absolutely perfect and so stinking adorable!), it’s been an emotional whirlwind. Thankfully, both Mom and baby are doing great. 🙏

I’ve had so many of you reach out asking if I’ll be at Canton this week and wondering when and where you’ll be able to find Swamp Bucket next. Your messages, prayers, and support have meant more than you know.

Right now, my focus has to be on my dad as we continue navigating his health issues. We’re hopeful to have more answers on Monday, and I’ll post an update then about future opening dates and where we’ll be next.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and continued support of my family and my small business. I truly appreciate every one of you, and I can’t wait to get back to serving you all again soon.

We extends our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family of Chief Charles Woodard, the Mabank Fire Department, and the entire Mabank community.

Chief Woodard dedicated his life to protecting and serving others, making the ultimate sacrifice while helping keep his community safe. His courage, selflessness, and commitment will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are especially with his wife, children, loved ones, and all of his brothers and sisters in the fire service during this incredibly difficult time.

Please join us in keeping the Woodard family and everyone affected by this tragic loss in your thoughts and prayers.
