The GRACE Project - Animal Rescue

We are preparing our seniors for hurricane season! We are proud to partner with Florida Power & Light Company and the Florida Council on Aging to distribute hurricane preparedness meal kits to our Bay County Council on Aging clients. After serving all of our Bay County Council on Aging clients, any remaining meal kits will be distributed to seniors in need in our broader community.

Each kit includes three days of shelf-stable food, water, snacks and a hurricane preparedness guide...helping ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors have the resources they need to stay safe before and after a storm!

We will distribute these meals to our clients this Wednesday, June 17th from 10:30a.m. - 12:30p.m. at Coulliette Senior Center located at 1116 Frankford Ave., Panama City.

TALLAHASSEE ANIMAL SERVICES IS HIRING: Canine Companion Specialist

Do you love dogs, enjoy being active outdoors, and want to make a real difference for shelter pets?

Tallahassee Animal Services is looking for a dedicated team member to help provide daily exercise, enrichment, and socialization for the dogs in their care! This position includes walking shelter dogs through Tom Brown Park, participating in playgroups, and helping improve the quality of life and adoptability of shelter dogs.

🐶 Pay: $16/hour
🐶 Schedule: 15–30 hours/week
🐶 In-person position
🐶 Flexible schedule

This is a highly active position involving:
✔ Walking up to ~30,000 steps per day
✔ Handling large, energetic dogs (up to 100 lbs)
✔ Working outdoors in various weather conditions
✔ Supporting enrichment and positive dog interactions

Ideal candidates are:
🐾 Reliable and punctual
🐾 Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes
🐾 Passionate about animal welfare
🐾 Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Experience with dog handling, shelters, rescue work, training, or veterinary environments is preferred but not required.
