We are at the Caledonia County Fairgrounds for the fireworks show at 9:00 PM!

We’ve been told the fireworks are happening rain or shine, so don’t let the weather keep you away (the only thing would be if lightning was in the area, they’ll not launch). Grandstand seating is available, so you can stay dry while enjoying the show.

Yesterday, June 26th, was a busy day for Northeast Kingdom agencies. Lyndon Rescue was no exception, where we responded to a call for Calex Ambulance Service while they were tied up on multiple emergencies, and another crew responded to support Sheffield-Wheelock Vol. Fire Department and numerous mutual aid agencies on a 2nd alarm structure fire.

Towards the end of the day, we were thankful for Sutton Volunteer Fire Department (who were clearing the aforementioned structure fire) and a few of our off-duty members for their response to a lifesaving call.

In the end, life in the Kingdom means supporting each other, and yesterday proved that emergency services here will lend a hand whenever someone needs aid. We’ve seen it countless times through floods and fires.

In conclusion, thank you to our neighboring agencies for your support and dedication. Together, we are all Caring for the Kingdom. In true Kingdom fashion, the view from US Route 5 in West Burke looking towards Burke Mountain was a beautiful way to close out the day.
