Dear Parents/Guardians:

Gerdes Junior High 6th-8th students will take their STAAR assessments this upcoming week.

May 8th MONDAY – 6th/7th/8th Grade Math

May 9th TUESDAY – 6th/7th/8th Grade Reading

May 10th WEDNESDAY – 8th Grade Science

May 11th THURSDAY – 8th Grade Social Studies

Students will test in the morning and will resume a revised schedule. Each student will need a book to read after testing in the testing room. We encourage that students leave backpacks and cell phones at home, as these items will not be allowed during testing. Students will be required to put away all items during testing.

Please try to make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep, eats breakfast (breakfast is offered in our cafeteria on testing days) and is ready to do his/her best. We are so proud of their progress and we know they will do an amazing job!

We ask that we have no visitors this week and a reminder that our lunch schedule will be modified. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at 830.875.2121.
