Update SOFR Campaign 2026
Last week to help our First Responders.
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) would like to remind our citizens of our 2026 Support Our First Responders Campaign being held June 10th through July 31st, 2026. (Date Extended)
As we reach the peak of summer weather and the extreme heat conditions, this is a critical need for our First Responders.
This Campaign is soliciting Monetary Donations to purchase this greatly needed resource, which will then be distributed to First Responders throughout Lubbock County.
We encourage private citizens with the ability to consider making a monetary donation to assist in this effort.
To date we have received monetary donation to purchase 31pallets of bottled water and had the equivalent of 1 pallet donated at our Citizens Drop Off on July 11th, 2026.
At present we have fallen short of our goal of 60 pallets for this year.
We also continue to request Corporate/Business Partners, Community Organizations, Faith Based Organizations to consider supporting our First Responders by making a monetary donation of at least $200.00 to cover the cost of a pallet, thus allowing the LEPC to purchase this much needed resource.
Monetary Donations can also be mailed to:
