Smith Elementary

Welcome Wednesday ⭐️ We are so excited to welcome a new face on campus! Mrs. Sparks will be our Structured Learning (SLC) teacher at Smith.

"I grew up in a tiny Texas Panhandle town called Perryton. Ever since I can remember, I just knew teaching is where I wanted to be. I went to Clarendon College for two years, graduated and continued to receive my Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies at WTAMU - go buffs! This will be my 12th year teaching special education. I spent 10 GREAT years with Amarillo ISD at Western Plateau Elementary. In our family, Jay and I have 3 little girls of our own, Kimber, Hadley and Kinlee. One of my most favorite hobbies outside of teaching is crafting, especially making earrings. I am THRILLED to join Smith teachers at LISD this year!"
