Panic is over as they reopened

UPDATE: May 29th, 2026 - Normal operations have resumed, park has been reopened.

May 28th, 2026 - Balmorhea State Park is closed due to issues with our water supply and related complications. The park will remain closed until these issues are resolved.

You can continue to monitor our social media for updates. We will post more as the situation evolves.

To clarify, this issue is related to drinking/septic water supply issues NOT spring flow. Spring flow is unaffected.
