250 years ago today, a group of people decided freedom was worth fighting for. Today we get to enjoy that freedom, the flags, the fireworks, the cookouts, all of it. But, the freedom that really changes everything isn’t political, it’s personal. Galatians 5:1 puts it simply, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” That’s the kind of freedom that lasts. So as you celebrate today, celebrate this country, but most importantly, celebrate the One who set you free first!! Happy 4th of July, and happy 250 years. 🇺🇸
