What a great Saturday morning serving our neighbors together. 💙 Our Community Block Clean-Up wasn’t just about cleaning streets, it was about investing in the people who call this neighborhood home. Thank you to every volunteer who showed up and served alongside us.

We’re teaming up with the Lubbock Matadors for Community Partner Night on July 11, and we want to see Open Door friends, supporters, families, volunteers, and neighbors filling the stands!

☀️ Heat Advisory Update ☀️
With temperatures in Lubbock expected to reach as high as 108 degrees today, extreme heat can quickly become dangerous for our friends experiencing homelessness — especially those living outside with little or no access to shade, air conditioning, cold water, restrooms, or a safe place to cool down.
Open Door’s Community Center will be open today from 7:30 AM–5:00 PM for anyone seeking refuge from the heat.
We are also asking the community to help us meet urgent needs by donating:
• Bottled water
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
• ChapStick
Donations can be dropped off at 1918 13th St., Lubbock, TX 79401.
Financial gifts can also be made through our website to support the Community Center and the daily care, connection, and needed items provided to our friends.
