Inky Does That

I am not prey.
Something has changed. I am the same, but I have new feelings. I am growing but standing in place. There's an untethered rage inside, kept deep in the crypt and locked tight.

Always happy, always bubbly, always listening, always there to help. Always there to hurt. I'm tired.

Tired of being prey to the moral high ground, tired of always being kind as they sink teeth deeper. Smile harder as I lose my grip on whatever could possibly be mine, even me. I am not longer my own.

I have no fear for those who are against me, I have no fear of those who see me as prey.

If my crown of horns bare you no heed, I must resort to the thorns of my teeth.

Make no mistake in my gentle nature.

I am gentle
I am pure
I am soft
New,
Scared,
I am free
I am strong
Resilient,
Unforgiving
I am fear
I am not prey.
