Jordan and Madison Sutherland ended up in Kingsgate by choice back in 2019, and they have called this beautiful community home ever since. Today they run Sutherland Real Estate together after years of dedicated local public service. 🏡

Whether they are volunteering as basketball coaches or strolling to Sprouts with their mini golden doodle, Phoebe, this family brings a wonderful energy to our neighborhood lanes. 🐾

Resident contributor Kathy Harrison shares her delicious recipe for Pasta A la Norma, a traditional Sicilian dish of eggplant tossed with tomato sauce and Pecorino Romano cheese. 🧀

Ingredients:
• 10 pounds of eggplant
• Olive oil (at least ½ cup, as needed)
• Salt and pepper
• 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
• 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 1 can diced tomatoes
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
• 1 pound rigatoni
• ½ cup chopped basil
• ½ cup grated Pecorino Romano or Parmesan cheese
