Dryer Vent Danger

Clogged dryer vents cause thousands of house fires each year and most if not all could have been avoided! I don't recommend it in your fireplace, but dryer lint can even be used as a fire-starter! Please clean your vents regularly and keep your home safe.

Attic Inspections Matter!

Your attic holds clues about your home’s health. Look for signs of leaks, poor (or gaps in) insulation, even rodent droppings. Ignoring issues up in the attic can lead to bigger (and pricier!) problems down the road.

Landscaping & Your Home

Tree roots can crack foundations & bushes can crack water pipes. Our Willow would have taken out our shed until the tornadoes last year took Isabella down (yes, we named our tree). Juniper bushes twisted around our water line, which was very costly to repair. Be thoughtful when planting trees, bushes and plants around your home - do your research and even hire an Arborist if needed!

Fireplace Safety!

You're probably enjoying your wood-burning fireplace right now if you have one😄 Remember that creosote buildup can cause dangerous house fires🔥. Now is the time to schedule your favorite Chimney Sweep to inspect & clean your chimney for the fall. You'll have piece of mind before lighting your first fire next winter. Stay safe and warm this winter!

HVAC Filter Reminder

Your HVAC filter should be changed every 1-3 months. A dirty filter strains your system, reduces efficiency, and can even shorten your system's life span. Set a reminder, swap it out and breathe cleaner air!

Hidden Water Leaks!

Water damage can be sneaky! Check under sinks, around toilets and behind appliances for moisture - and don't overlook discoloration in your ceiling or wall! A slow leak today can turn into a bigger problem tomorrow. If you have concerns, I can help!

Roof Check Reminder

Your roof is your first line of defense against the elements, especially this time of year in the Ozarks. When the weather breaks. take a quick walk around your home and look for missing shingles or sagging spots. Also, make sure your gutters & downspouts are clear of debris. A little maintenance now could prevent costly leaks later!
