It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our friend and founding member, Luis Pedroso.

Luis leaves behind a remarkable legacy, having made a meaningful impact across the business, foundation, and nonprofit sectors. Education was especially important to him. Through his leadership and dedication, Fortaleza Inc. was established, along with a scholarship program for Latino students that has awarded tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships for Latino students in Lowell.

His generosity and vision extended beyond the United States, reaching and uplifting students in Rwanda.

Luis’ life stands as a powerful example of the immigrant experience-someone who worked tirelessly, achieved great success, never forgot his roots, and gave back both his time and resources to uplift others.

He will be deeply missed by all of us.
