Today we celebrate National Doctor’s Day! This is a chance to recognize the dedication, compassion, and skill our physicians bring to our community every single day.

Did you know the tradition of the red carnation dates back to the very first Doctor’s Day in 1933? The flower was chosen to symbolize love, respect, and sacrifice, all qualities that define the medical profession. Red carnations are worn or shared in honor of living physicians, while white carnations remember those we’ve lost.

To our doctors: thank you for choosing rural healthcare, for showing up when it matters most, and for caring for our community!
