The Sethalopod

Finally finished this piece for a birthday gift almost two decades (!) after I started it! I was doing a bunch of cleaning/sifting through items several weeks ago, and came across a very rough pencil sketch and a few splotches of watercolor in one of my canvas pads. After looking at it and thinking about it for a little while, I decided it needed to be completed. 🙂

Hope everyone's had a most hallow'd of weens! Been a while since I added a thing on here, but I wanted to get this doodle done before the 31st was. Enjoy!

Before I get to what I hope will be a substantial rollout of new stuff for the new year, here's another (very) deep cut from my portfolio archives! It's rough around the edges, but I enjoyed the DIY aspect of wandering around the streets of Savannah and spotting this stoop/porch and taking a photo of it, then doing my best to recreate it pretty much exactly as I saw it, while also being one of my first major forays into experimenting with different types of pen-and-ink lines and pointillism.

Remember way back when it was February? Neither do I. I also didn't remember to get February's calendar illustration posted...until now!
