Home The Frazier History Museum is located in Louisville, Kentucky on Main Street's historic Museum Row and houses more than 1,000 years of history.
Everyone knows that Daniel Boone was the fashion forward explorer who popularized that coonskin cap, right? Wrong.
We learned on a recent visit to the Frazier Museum that Ben Franklin first popularized the cap. Franklin as it turns out, not Daniel Boone, discovered the head gear during his exploits in France while there rallying support for the American colonists’ revolt.
We also tend think ole Ben would have looked pretty good modeling on the Parisian catwalks.
