As many children prepare for the long nights of summer and the freedom of summer break, remember: help is available 24/7 when you need it.

Youth can use TXT 4 HELP to connect with support:
Text SAFE + your location to 4HELP (44357) to find the nearest Safe Place site, and reply 2Chat to connect with a licensed mental health professional.

Safe Place doesn’t stop when school is out.

Mental health matters, especially for young people navigating a crisis. In 2025, mental health issues were the third leading reason a young person sought immediate help and safety through Safe Place.

If you’re a young person in need of support right now, you can text SAFE to 4HELP (44357) and reply 2Chat to connect with a licensed mental health professional. You can also seek out the nearest Safe Place site in your community. Just look for the yellow and black sign.

Safe Place ® is here so youth in crisis can find immediate safety and support. There are two ways youth can access help:
- Look for the black and yellow Safe Place sign in your community, walk in and state you need a Safe Place
- Or use TXT 4 HELP anytime to connect with help. Simply text “SAFE” to 4HELP (44357).

Human trafficking is a global issue, affecting nearly 50 million victims across the world. It’s also a local issue, as kids and adults alike are exploited in communities right here.
