Be cautious about rental ads on marketplace fb. Had a lady scammed by one. Man stole 2,000 of her money. Scammed her by illegally renting her a unit we own.
If you are trying to rent- Stick to the big platforms like Zillow, rent.com and others.
Also heard this scam has occurred on Craigslist

So a few months ago we picked up a 4 plex. Previous owner may have cut a few corners and it’s a little on the “rough side”. We are fixing it up and making it adorable. Tearing out bathroom floor today we find what I can only describe as “it puts the lotion on its skin” hole in under the floor. OMG. In 28 years of investing and fixing up properties this is weirdest find ever! Super creepy. It’s about 3’ in diameter and no idea how deep it is. Very deep for sure. Will measure depth tomorrow and update 🙂
