Pretty Decent is seeking a part-time barback to join our team.
Come contribute your talents to and learn from the bar team at one of the world’s most highly acclaimed cocktail bars. Barbacks are responsible for assisting the bar team in service and additionally for prepping a large number of house-made ingredients.
This job is ideal for someone seeking a second job that is very part-time: you’ll be scheduled about 12 hours/week or so over two shifts, with one weekend night per week mandatory, and occasionally scheduled an additional night to cover for other team members’ day-off requests. The ideal candidate works very well both with and without supervision, both individually and in a team setting, and is good at reading and executing a recipe. Candidates must be hospitable and outgoing and able to interact freely and easily with guests, must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality at work, and must have a passion for making something nice for others to enjoy. The ability to work clean and neat and to maintain a tidy work area is mandatory. Strong focus and attention to detail is required for this position, as the barracks produce many of the ingredients that go into our award-winning cocktail program.
