THE NAMESAKE

When developing our new direction for the business, it was important for the name to truly reflect our every intention. Let us start with our inspiration.

Oil still life paintings such as this, titled "Vase of Flowers" by Jan Davidsz de Heem tell such intricate stories. These paintings use each visual inch to display life, death, reflections, seasons, and narratives that draw you further in with each viewing. Because of the deep inspiration these paintings evoke "Verhalen" seemed only fitting. Verhalen is Dutch for "stories" and what better way to sum up our motivation. Our hope is that each design and installation pulls you deeper into the narrative and evokes the beauty and complexities of your very own story. Thus Verhalen Floral Studio was born.

We put down the packing tape for just a second to create this mood board for the most important client, 🌼MY LITTLE SISTER🌼!!! So excited for her and her fiancé and all that is to come. In the midst of the chaos and cardboard there is still the need to create! So excited for October! It's going to be a month full of love💛💛 💛
