The 15th Amendment didn’t just expand voting rights, it reshaped what participation in a democracy could look like.

It affirmed that a person’s voice cannot be denied based on race or past injustice, laying a foundation that movements have continued to build on ever since.

For individuals, it opened doors to representation, dignity, and influence.
For society, it strengthened the idea that progress depends on inclusion rather than exclusion.

Democracy works best when more voices are heard.
