Hey this is Josh! Ive done the thing and decided to start a record label ! SB has been putting records out in the world for over 15 years now. When we started the band, we first released the EP on our own imprint and ran out of time to run it as the band took off. Ive wanted to have my own outlet for releasing records and art, so Primary Source Records was born https://www.instagram.com/primarysourcerecords

The main inspiration to start the label was a chance meeting with a new artist, Johnny St. Grace, out in LA. I was blown away by the first track she sent, Maspeth, a song about landing in post-industrial Queens from Cincinnati. She pulls from the world of the Gun Club, Appalachian folk, 80s synth music, and the cool dark nights of the Midwest. I’ve got a snippet from the video here
