I’ve always felt like the turn of the year was a cop out for doing the things you knew you weren’t gonna pull off anyways…and then 2026 happened.
This past year has been the best reminder that this thing isn’t easy, and it’s really not supposed to be. This year I’m making a point to stare all my faults and shortcomings in the face and not bat an eye, and that feels cool. The things that matter have got to matter the most: my health (which has been probably my biggest insecurity to date), my friends (still better than yours), my family (watching my sister become a mom is proof The Lord is really kind), and yea dude my music.
Im making a point to fail more publicly this year, I’m gonna do a lot of stuff I’ve never done which means I’m gonna frck up a lot. And I’m proud of that. I’m a product of a long road filled with a lot of grace, and I think I wanna talk about that more. I want to openly admit when I’m wrong, say I’m sorry a lot, celebrate small wins, show up for people because that fu***ng matters, and maybe find my way a little bit more.

So here’s to the new year, I hope you laugh and smile as much as I’m going to this year. Also go lakers.
