The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.

This was my first attempt at long exposure astrophotography, which I think turned out decent after a little assist from photoshop. To capture the stars streaking across the sky, you have to keep your shutter open for an extended period of time. (On a tripod of course) In this particular shot, it was open for 40 minutes. In other words, it took 40 minutes to capture one, single photo. Don’t worry though, as my camera was doing the heavily lifting I was stargazing by the campfire. Definitely a relaxed way to have a photo shoot. I will definitely revisit next time I venture into the wilderness.

I will never truly understand the struggle and prejudice that minority groups, particularly POC, face on a daily basis. It is despicable that fellow human beings are not given the same opportunities that I have taken for granted throughout my life nor treated equally in our modern society. ALL people, no matter the race or gender, deserve to be given the same basic respect and treated as equals.

That is why I was so excited when my friend reached out and asked me to collaborate on her most recent project. Hannah makes exquisitely beautiful jewelry and decided to create the SOL collection, a jewelry set inspired by solidarity, love, and equality. 100% of the proceeds are being donated to organizations that fight racial injustice.
