Squiggles was rescued from a high kill shelter bon 6/25. We know with certainty that he would not be alive today if we had not pulled him out. This shelter has a 93% kill rate.

When they brought Squiggles out to our transporter, his face was covered in mucus. It was clear that he had been sick for a while with no medical care. He was stuck in the back room where cats go to die.

We transported him directly to our vet.

Within 2 days of receiving medication for an Upper Respiratory Infection, he was symptom free.

You see, shelters like the one he was in use a common kitty cold similar to cold humans get as a reason to kill them.

Squiggles was taken directly by our vet in Marina del Rey and Donna Jo is recuperating from spay surgery at a temp foster home until her foster mom gets off work at 8:30.
