Last night was my fourth gathering in this home this year, and it reminded me why I love opening my doors so much. 🕯️🤍

I built this house years ago with one of my very first clients and his incredible designer , creating a space meant for connection, conversation, and community. After losing someone who helped me build my life almost two years ago, I went through a long period where sharing this home felt too painful. The holidays especially can carry a quiet heaviness when you’re grieving.

But inviting friends and neighbors back in has been unexpectedly healing. There’s something about laughter, warmth, and familiar faces that softens the edges of loss. Community doesn’t erase grief; it just makes it a little easier to carry.

This is also why I love Mar Vista so deeply. It’s a neighborhood where people show up for each other, where homes are meant to be lived in, gathered in, and shared. Designing spaces like this, homes that hold life; is why I continue to do the work I do in real estate.

And as a sweet end to the night, a friend stayed late , asked about my new company, Mirror Me and supported it in such a genuine way. It was a small moment, but one that filled my heart. Building something so personal, alongside the work that supports me, has been a reminder that even in hard seasons, there’s room for growth, connection, and joy.

Grateful for community, for home, and for the people who make both feel alive. ✨

Getting ready for my holiday party this Saturday and I stopped by one of my favorite spots in Mar Vista. The staff and owner are incredible! I found the perfect Christmas sweater that I’m actually going to wear as a dress… and these amazing little reindeer mugs for my hot-chocolate charcuterie board. 🦌☕️✨

Instead of buying something new that I’d only wear once, I love choosing secondhand when I can as it’s better for the planet, more unique, and honestly just more fun. Little treasures you didn’t even know you were looking for always find you.

I’ll be honest though… the holidays have been really hard for me the last two years. I lost someone incredibly close to me, and Christmas hasn’t felt the same since. My heart still tightens every time I hear a Christmas song.

I built my home for my son and aunt-the most unbelievable person and I feel her in every corner of it. Hosting friends and neighbors this year feels like a way to honor her, to fill the home with warmth and connection the way she would have wanted for my son and me.

Christmas looks different now. But creating moments of community, choosing joy in small ways, and celebrating what I built with her… that helps.

Here’s to healing, to finding beauty in unexpected places, and to choosing what feels good for your heart and the planet. 💛✨♻️
