As much as we all love (and want to go to) Japan, LA has a new and pretty enticing D (line train) šŸ˜‰

And while we may not have a robust public transportation system as in Asia, the @/la_metro (at only $1.75 per ride!!) is still a great alternative to spending your time and gas in traffic. Save money, be kind to the environment, and bring your friends to a restaurant or museum from our ā€œFavorite Placesā€ series!

From chop suey to Spam musubi, food always tells a story of resilience and community.

history lives in the meals we share and the cultures we continue to shape together.

Play tourist for a day and immerse yourself in the art of LA.

Start off at the metro stop and experience artwork by Asian American artist Soo Kim. Then grab some fuel at Lodge Bread Co and Mama Lu’s, because you can never go wrong with carbs. šŸ˜‹ Finally, head to the Academy Library to peruse through years of iconic movie posters and costume design.

Our fav places:
Mama Lu’s Dumplings
Fine Arts Theatre
Japanese Knife Imports
Academy Library
Lodge Bread Co
