I’ve been in Japan for a little while now. The hardest moment of living abroad is when you have to rush home for a family emergency.

Being next to your parent unwell is sitting with a series of vulnerable questions. Feeling the time tick faster each day.

But right now, I’m grateful I get to have this time with him. We laugh, cook and clean together. Celebrating his 80th Bday! お誕生日、心からおめでとう！！
