Palmer Down the Rabbit Hole

“Flashbacks raced through my head.”

A world where I wasn’t assaulted multiple times in the same community and followed day after day by silent members of the US military, and traumatized refugees curious as to who the strange homeless individual was, with a bunch of gadgets and seemingly bottomless bank account. Danced through my memory.

“My friends! I exclaimed, as I boarded the cross-country greyhound after living homeless for two months in Hollywood’s “Arts District”, also known as “the valley”.

“ I shall return!” (At a later date with refreshed funds, as it turns out bottomless bank accounts do not exist for most.)

And so I departed, without any of my 13 apple devices that I worked my entire adult life for, or any salutations from the many in my community (save a special few) I had grown to admire in my time achieving my dreams.

The greyhound bus, though 45 minutes late, roared away with gusto, leaving in its slipstream the echo of a place that once called to me from through the internet.
“Come share your talents here!”

“”I shall when it’s safer again!”” I returned, one loan tear trailing down my cheek, and splashing onto my final device. (The patented and incredible iPhone 8, AKA “The infinity Machine”. )
