If you were lucky enough to have Miss Debra Miller as a teacher at Marymount, consider yourself blessed. She was more than just my English and humanities teacher - she was a source of inspiration. Her life story, told in her book “the most wonderful, terrible person”, is a testament to her strength. I still recall the vocabulary words she'd drill into us daily: Banal. Ephemeral. Nebulous. But more than that, I remember her kindness when I needed it most, sitting with me at lunch during tough times. I'm overjoyed she wrote this book and I got to celebrate at the launch party, reconnecting with old teachers and friends. It was a truly nostalgic experience. I love you so much Debra!
