Why is endometriosis so confusing??

Before receiving a diagnosis, many ask themselves questions like these before seeking help from a doctor.

Endo is tricky to diagnose because it can’t be seen on an ultrasound.

If you’re experiencing these questions, consider seeking answers through tests like the Endometrial Function Test (EFT) offered by Yale University and the ReceptivaDx. These diagnostic tests analyze tissue from a uterine biopsy to suggest the presence of endometriosis.

It’s alluring to focus on the belief that we’ll be happy only when baby arrives, but that can have us missing the joy that comes as we’re mothering and anticipating the needs of others already.

These days (that can become years) spent waiting - don’t need to feel like a complete waste of time if we’re willing to reframe the process and see the ways that we’re already nurturing…

Pets, co-workers, friends, plants and projects β€” whatever you’re giving your energy to during the time spent waiting to become a momβ€”they appreciate your love! And serve as reminders that it’s still a creative time that’s healing for your tired spirit.

What you create and who you nurture in your own unique way reveals your destiny unfolding.

My five years journey to Kira was spent helping thousands of other women find their way… The shift in my consciousness that created a more fertile me came from embracing the fact that mine was a life in service to women with fertility issues. Once I surrendered to that selfless truth, instead of worrying that the work would leave me too depleted, everything changed and I became pregnant against the odds. βœ¨πŸ™πŸΌβ€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹β€‹

Look at your own path to find all the ways you reveal β€œthe mother”, and see if you can enjoy mothering in the myriad other ways it plays out in your life.

You’ll likely find that those moments contain important insights that will contribute to who you’ll be as a parent in the future.

Especially as we approach the holidays, make it a priority to look with fresh eyes to see yourself mothering in various different ways (shopping, cooking, creating the right party menus) β€” to know that you’ve been given the role of mother already.

🀍 an affirmation for the hard days: the wisdom gained from this time in my life will serve me well as a mother someday.

There's a lot to be discouraged by if you're trying to conceive and it's not happening. Each time a friend or co-worker posts a pregnancy announcement, a holiday passes that brings up emotions, or another cycle ends without the outcome you wanted, the compounding grief of the fertility journey can become really heavy.

While it's easy to see why pain, disappointment and sadness present when you're experiencing infertility (and for good reason!), joy is here too, and it's our job to recognize the many ways it presents itself in our lives -- and then actively seek it out.

Why is this important? Joy is the emotion associated with the heart. and it has the power to open and soothe your heart when it feels closed or broken... and if you've been trying to conceive for long enough, your heart has probably taken its fair share of blows.

Joy can come from a long call with a good friend, a deep belly laugh, dancing to your favorite song, watching the sun set, taking a trip, receiving the love of a cherished animal... music, movement, connection.

So what brings you joy? Despite it all?
