Two humans who’s artistry has meant the world to me passed away last week. I’ve been listening to The Beach Boys since I was 4 years old, and now I’ve been introducing their wild and beautiful music to my son who loves it as much as I have always have. And Sly Stone…. I discovered him as a young adolescent and listened to him nonstop throughout my teenage years. Both very troubled, complicated, beautiful people who let their light shine through the darkness.

I grow to love this woman more and more every day. She’s truly an incredible superhuman. The thing I admire about her most is that she attunes her massive intellect to making everyones lives around her better in so many big and small ways. She’s inspires me to be a greater artist, a better dad, and most importantly a better person. Love you
