Beautiful Souls Aligned

Emotional honesty isn’t always pretty, but for me, the breakthrough is always on the other side of the tears I’ve shed and the grief I’ve mourned in real time.

Most people are uncomfortable with discomfort, so they seek to offer bypassing solutions that are intended to make you feel better quickly to relieve the grief and pain you feel, but that is not how pain is tended to. They mean well, but for some of us who feels things more deeply, that is a form of toxic positivity that just makes things worse.

Most of us, have challenges outside of us that are social, economic, financial, and more. Those “problems” can’t be solved with quick pick me ups and positivity, they need real interventions that don’t place the burden back onto the individual.

I guide people toward authentic expression, even when it makes others uncomfortable. You can cry here, I know I will be.

Today is one of those days where it doesn’t matter what I want to do and where I’m trying to go my body needs rest. I have a long list of things I need to do, but pushing through today will likely cause future disruption to my days if I don’t honor what my body needs. So today, i work from the bed, with my coffee.
