There’s something beautiful about asking God for wisdom that’s pure, peace-loving, gentle, and full of good fruit. When our hearts long for that kind of wisdom, we’re already opening ourselves to God’s way. Here’s what James says about true wisdom:

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” — James 3:17–18

Here’s a simple way you could bring this to God:

“God, I want wisdom that’s pure and peaceable. Shape my thoughts and actions so they reflect Your gentleness, mercy, and sincerity. Make me a peacemaker in my words and choices. Grow a harvest of righteousness in and through me. Amen.”
